Creating the Google+ Israel home page let us show the world a side of our country they usually didn’t see.
It was certainly a great honor when Google asked us to create the homepage for Google+ Israel. The chance to work with one of the world’s most exciting companies while presenting the country we love to the world in all its fascinating variety? What wasn’t to love?
For the Google+ homepage, we created art depicting marinas, museums, students, city halls, coffee shops and other scenes from everyday life in Israel, all interspersed with the familiar Chrome, Gmail and YouTube logos.
To us, this project was for more than a Google + homepage. It was for our home.
Originally created as a mural-style scene via an animated GIF, the Google+ Israel page has since incorporated our artwork as still images. We’re understandably proud of this work, not just because it’s a Google+ homepage, but because it’s also our home.
