The Fund for Reconciliation, Tolerance And Peace. Animation.
Creating a message of hope for the world.
Several years ago, shortly after the legendary Leonard Cohen announced he was getting behind this organization, we were asked to create the overarching brand, all the digital components and their marketing materials. Collaborating with dear friends (Firefly Pictures, Lobo, Birdo, Ken Rabe, Wicked Music and Sweet Sound), we created a pro bono two-minutes-plus animation translated into four languages (as well as a making of video) that was a transatlantic labor of love for two years.
The most important message we have ever been asked to communicate.
Like people all over the world, we at Natie are just sick and tired of the endless conflict in our part of the world and in so many others, and at the time, this was a way to do something positive to start to move things in the direction of peace.
This is not a political piece; it’s about hope. And it was created by a group of people who believe in its message with all their hearts. Sadly, nothing much has changed since we made this, and if anything, peace may have even retreated a bit farther out of reach. But every time we watch this, we feel certain that one day, peace will win out. It has to.
Thanks to Leonard Cohen for funding. And to the amazing collaborators we had in the form of Shelley Hermon of Firefly Productions, Lobo, Birdo, Wicked Music, Sweet Sound, Rabe and Co, JMX2, and the Ebeling Group.
