Mariana. Brand strategy, Storytelling, Logo + Visual Identity.
Branding work for a client who knows a thing or two about great design.
We recently had the pleasure of completing work for a client that’s all about color and visual beauty – talk about a dream assignment. Our client was jewelry designer Mariana, and our work was truly inspired by the beautiful things she makes.
We worked with Mariana to help refine her well-established brand with an evolved and elegant new logo along with other visual identity pieces; we created a manifesto that captured Mariana’s unique style; we provided copywriting and designs for a number of brochures for her new line. It was a rewarding challenge to live up to the standard set by Mariana herself in her work.
Creations that start with color and end with beauty
Mariana’s creations all start with color. She has a deep and intuitive grasp of shade and hue, and she combines them in unexpected and striking ways to create pieces that express the wearer’s spirit while filling her with a sense of confidence and self-assurance. She realizes her designs by using precious and semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystal beads, fabric beads, various metals…whatever materials seems the most suitable vehicles for the subtle messages conveyed by those fabulous colors.
For mariana, it starts with color. For us, it started with her voice.
Another thing that makes Mariana unusual is the deep and personal involvement she has in every piece that comes out of her studio – jewelry that often almost seems like it’s speaking with her voice. So we strived to make sure the branding work and copywriting we crafted for her had that special quality, too. We didn’t want our work to be about her, we wanted it to seem to be coming from her personally, just like her dazzling creations do.
With Mariana, we had to find just the right tone before we could start applying it to the writing. Suffice it to say, we are very proud to have this work accessorizing our website.
