We started at the source

We interviewed key stakeholders, staff members, scientists, collaborators and clients, and visited Algatech’s factories in the south of Israel. That meant hearing from the people doing the research as well as seeing where the microalgae was grown. Algatech’s story included both: the practical experience of cultivating microalgae and an enduring fascination with what remained to be discovered.

We built the strategy and manifesto around that combination of practical expertise and curiosity. There was a life’s work behind this tiny life form, and that deserved to come through as clearly as the science.

Three words with a lot of life in them

We brought that thinking together in the tagline Algatech. Source for good. “Source” connected directly to what the company supplied and to microalgae itself, while “good” expressed the purpose behind the work and left room for benefits and applications still to be explored.

A small beginning with an open future

It was a simple way to introduce a business whose science could take considerably longer to explain, supported by a manifesto that gave the idea substance and a story the team could build on. It connected the work Algatech was already doing to the possibilities its researchers were still exploring. And still are.
