Having grown up in Israel and England, Shelley Hermon brings a bit of both cultures to the natie family. Her career in the ad biz kicked off in 1997 when her adventures in the Far East led to an art director position at Ogilvy Hong Kong. (Talk about getting off to a fast start!)
Since 2000 she has been pursuing her passion for film as a freelance director/producer/cinematographer on a number of international productions. Her love of people and commitment to justice drove her to make a feature documentary, Within The Eye of the Storm, in partnership with Sundance, Keren Makor, Keren Gesher, and France 5 TV. The film has screened in over 75 countries, winning numerous international awards in the process, and it continues to move audiences around the globe to this day. In addition, Shelley served as regional director for the Canadian organization Peace It Together, where she mentored Israeli and Palestinian students in a film program, and is currently teaching Directing and Cinematography at the College of Management in Israel.
Rounding out an already very well-rounded CV, Shelley has also worked as a content and marketing manager in a variety of companies, including Pereg Ventures Fund and the Israeli Co-production Forum, where she oversaw new media projects that pitch at the large annual event.
