John got into advertising thirty years ago mostly because it appealed to his curiosity and love of learning new things. A job that required him to know as much as he could about something before he sat down to write about it? This was a career for him. Unearthing what makes a product special and communicating that to people in a way that makes them care continues to be what he loves most about his work. He has been a copywriter and creative director at agencies in Providence, Rhode Island and Boston, Massachusetts, where his work has been recognized by Communication Arts Magazine, the One Show, and many other award competitions.
What time is left over when he’s done writing ad campaigns and screenplays (his other writing passion) he devotes to the bass guitar. He’s confident that someday, he might even be good at it. (And while he wrote the brief bio you’re reading, he assures you he’s not just being modest.) He is married to a wonderful woman named Amy and is the dad of two fantastic kids named Troy and Penelope.
