Looky. Branding.
Branding a whole new way to share things on social media.
When an unnamed (but phenomenal) start-up asked us to create their brand in a mere six weeks, we immediately got to work. A short while later, we had a name, a logo, writing guidelines, typography, design and illustration…in other words, a brand.
The name we came up with? Looky. At the time, Looky was a new way to share your favorite things via your favorite social media. It was all about looking, liking and recommending stuff. (Anything, really.) And when you’d like something through Looky, your friends could see that you’d endorsed it.
Branding for Looky was based on the power of your personal brand.
Looky would let you create your own online collection of most anything. Then, being the curator, you could create a whole catalogue filled with things you wanted to share. And everything was based on your own personal recommendation. Looky was like you telling the world, “See this? I like it!” And the world answering back, “I trust you. If you like that, I’m going to take a closer look.”
Epilogue: as so often happens in today’s exciting but turbulent business world, Looky has evolved into something else. (And when you work with startups as often as we do at Natie, this type of evolution is something you get used to.) Still, we remain proud of the branding work we created for Looky, as well as the results it generated for them.
