It might just be Wonder Woman’s record-breaking box office figures or the female equality marches that have sprung up in all corners of the globe lately. But it’s clear the world is slowly catching on to something that should have been obvious from the beginning.
And by beginning, I mean, the beginning of time.
What women have to say is important. It matters. Yes, their words are as important as what men have to say. Full stop.
As society slowly (too slowly) opens its ears to the narrative of women everywhere, all of our team at natie say in unison, “Well it’s about f^!*ing time!”
Because we’re storytellers and understand the power of words, we feel like more can be done to continue the dialogue than a casual nod to the cause on International Women’s Day. And we feel like we can do more. Should do more.
So we looked outward for inspiration from female movers and shakers in the overarching communication industry. Quite a few are personal friends whom I admire and respect. These women have stellar reputations and have amazing work to show for it. When we reached out to them, we asked if they’d be open to sharing words of encouragement, advice – whatever they wanted to share with the world, really. And the response we got from them was a beautiful and resounding YES!
In the coming month, we’ll be sharing some quotes from these wonderful, confident, smart, and inspiring women right here on our site and via social media, so we can add to the growing recognition of female empowerment in the workplace and around the world.
From myself personally, and the natie team at large, we’d like to extend our thanks and gratitude to all the kickass women we’ll be highlighting.
And of course, to women in general – to every one of you reading this right now…keep doing what you’re doing.
Rock on.
